Please read carefully Legal Requirements:

Before the ceremony can be conducted, you MUST be in the Bahamas

for a minimum of 24 working hours and you MUST provide the following documents

(if applicable) to our local General Registrar’s Office*.

Passports or birth certificate (original or copy certified with raised seal)

An affidavit stating you have never been married before. (Must be done upon arrival, $75 per couple, $50 per person.)

A written consent form parents if either party is under 18.

A divorce decree with original seal, or copy with original seal (original or copy must be certified with raised seal in order to be valid), if either party was previously married.

Widower’s must present a notarized copy of former spouse’s death certificate.

Authentic photo ID from place of residence, or a passport.

In order to purchase the packages it is requested a minimum stay of 4 days/3 nights

Wedding ceremonies performed on Sundays or Holidays has $100 extra charge fee.

Transportation to Registrar’s Office is not included.

*Please be aware the General Registrar’s Office is open only from Monday to Friday from 9.00 am to 4.00pm

Payment will be done upon arrival in the resort by cash, US traveler’s check or credit card (MC,

Visa, American Express) and must be completed no later than one day before the wedding day to proceed with arrangements.

Receptions

If you purchase the Ceremony and Reception wedding package for $809, or just the

Reception package for $249, you and your guests will enjoy an unforgettable reception, held in one of our Special Restaurants the “Bamboo” restaurant (or “Viva Café” restaurant depending on number of guest).

Please be informed the reception type is only dinner, with no dance breaks

All reception prices accommodate up to 10 people. For all parties beyond 10, we will add an additional cost of $5 per person (and a Special Fix Menu will be set up for the occasion). Here’s what you get…

Appetizers:

We present to you a variety of different snacks served to you and your wedding party at your reception. You can choose two from the following:

Fried chicken

Chicken wings

Fried fish

Tomato and basil bruschetta.

Drinks:

Wine, beer, and soft drinks are served to you and your wedding party during the reception. If you would like alcoholic mixed drinks served as well, you can choose two of your favorites. Some old time favorites are Bahama Mama,

Goombay Smash, or Mango Punch…but the two choices are up to you! One bottle of champagne is already included in all the wedding packages. But if that is not enough, here are the prices for more:

Tattinger Champagne: $85

Sparkling Wine: $20

Dinner:

At your reception, dinner is included. You and your guests can order wonderful dishes off our Special Restaurants menu (only for parties under 15 persons, beyond that number a Special Fix menu is set up to accommodate the group dinner). All dinners include salad, bread and dessert.

Additional Info

Location:

For the wedding ceremony, the location is at our gazebo on the beach.

Time:

You can choose anytime between 10:00 am and 06:00 pm for your wedding ceremony. If you are interested in a sunset wedding, it is important that you know the sunset cannot be seen from our location on the island. For legal purposes, you must be married before the sun hits the horizon.

Decoration:

Ceremony decorations include a charming arch, bejeweled with flowers (white or tropical), soft white ribbons. The ceremony decorations are simple, but elegant.

For your wedding reception, we transform our Special Restaurant into an angelic ambiance of wedding bliss! The tables are dressed in elegant cloths, complete with sliver sparkles and flowers. They complete the atmosphere for the perfect wedding reception.

Music:

If you purchase either reception package, Freeport native, Nat, performs live music at your dinner party. He performs wonderful Caribbean calypso music with guitar (during 2 hours).

Cake:

One tier cake is included. Two and three tiers cake are available upon request (minimum of 15 guests). All the cakes included in the package have Butter cream Vanilla or Chocolate frosting. Please consult for customize cake, extra charges apply.

Wedding Extras

Extra Photos:

Extra pictures may be ordered in advance with the photographer. You will have the opportunity to meet with him before the ceremony to discuss exactly what you want and at what cost.

Videotaping:

We can make an appointment with a professional camera man. Please make your request in advance

Extra Flowers:

At an additional charge, extra flowers are available upon request. Prices are set according to the type of flowers chosen. Whether you want tropical or traditional, the decision is up to you!

Tuxedo Rental:

Need a tux? No problem, we can refer you to a great rental shop where you can select from a wide selection of tuxedos.

Salon Services:

Would you like your hair styled for your wedding day? Maybe a manicure and a pedicure? We can make an appointment for you at a professional salon, located in Port Lucaya, just six miles from the hotel.

Finally, all arrangements are made upon your arrival here at Viva Wyndham Fortuna Beach. There is no down payment required to book a wedding date. Simply call or email to schedule your wedding date. When you get here, you will meet with the wedding coordinator to set up all the details!
